The one moment that most immediately comes up for me is when I decided to forgive a female mentor that became a boss that was mentally & emotionally abusive. Ultimately she was fired because unsurprisingly I wasn't the only one experiencing the affects of her insecurities. In this process, I had dozens of people want me to divulge & air out grievances with her. In other words...gossip. When in reality, for me to walk forward on the path that I knew I was deserving of, I had to forgive & heal. This meant also wishing for her healing.
The people I've curated in my life. Slowly, but certainly. Through becoming aware of who I feel drain me & energize me; through understanding my own desires & fears; through learning the pitfalls of expectations & healing of surrender.
The tenacity of the human spirit.
Ultimately, I want to own a boutique hotel hospitality company.
No one is your enemy. No one is your friend. Everyone is your teacher.
