Code of Conduct

Welcome!

The Collective Rising is a digital membership community that respects, supports and values diversity and inclusion.

It is imperative that all members follow The Collective Rising’s community guidelines and code of conduct in order to maintain the community’s high morale and ensure respectful and considerate communication between members.

Accountability, Responsibility and Reliability 

Do what is right and honorable. Be reliable and accountable. Take it upon yourself to ensure that you always take the high road. Take ownership of your actions and take responsibility for the resulting consequences.  If you make a plan to connect with a fellow member, follow-through, and be on time. At The Collective Rising, we believe that our word is gold and as a community, we always strive to adhere to our promises and commitments. 

Inclusivity, Compassion and Understanding 

At The Collective Rising we expect all our members to operate from a place of understanding and respect.  We have a zero-tolerance policy for hatred, sexisim, bigotry, racism or any other type of disrespectful commentary or harassment.  All members are required to treat one another with kindess, dignity, respect and compassion in all electronic and in-person interactions.

The Collective Rising is a community that prides itself on having a diverse female-identifying member base. We do not discriminate on ethnicity, nationality, race, sexual orientation, religion, ability, experience, income, background or appearance and we expect that our members do the same. 

Authenticity, Honesty and Transparency 

Impersonating another person or brand is strictly prohibited. 

All members are required to conduct themselves in a truthful and authentic manner. Do not falsify or lie on your profile or when contacting and interacting with other members both electronically and in-person. 

We have a zero-tolerance policy for any type of predatory behavior including stalking, invading privacy, or revealing other members’ personal information.

Additionally, The Collective Rising has a zero-tolerance policy for any content or written-statements that depict or describe illegal, harmful or fraudulent activities, including disseminating, promoting or facilitating child pornography, offering or disseminating fraudulent goods, services, schemes, or promotions, make-money-fast schemes, ponzi and pyramid schemes, phishing, pharming, anything sexual, pornographic, or anything suggestive in nature or anything to encourage or incite violence.

Communication 

We ask that our more experienced members do their best to provide guidance, advice and mentorship to other members when requested to the best of their ability, and of course, time permitting.

To those members reaching out with requests, know that while The Collective Rising encourages the sharing of knowledge and mentorship, please understand that the majority of our members are extremely busy and unfortunately, do not have time to respond to every single email or request. We ask that you do not take the lack of response personally and respect the privacy of others and refrain from badgering and repeatedly sending unsolicited requests to members, especially when past approaches have not been reciprocated.

Furthermore, please note The Collective Rising is a digital membership community that strongly commits to privacy and discretion. 

It is strictly forbidden to:

Write a profile or trend piece about The Collective Rising’s community without explicit permission from someone on The Collective Rising’s leadership team. This includes a published article (online or in print) that comments on activity within The Collective Rising and makes member-restricted content, public.

Screen capture any content (member’s profiles, directory listings, files, threads, etc.) from The Collective Rising’s community, quote a conversation, share or publicize member-restricted content in any way that could compromise the confidentiality of The Collective Rising’s members.

Inappropriate Communication

If at any point you receive a message or are spoken to in any manner that you feel is inappropriate or disrespectful by a fellow member, we ask that you immediately stop responding, take screenshots (if this happened electronically) and notify our executive team by emailing membership@thecollectiverising.com. 

Protection and Community Vetting 

The Collective Rising does not conduct criminal background or identity verification checks on its users. We encourage you to use your best judgment when interacting with other members.

While The Collective Rising strives to encourage a respectful user experience for all members, it is not responsible for the conduct of any user on or off the service. By agreeing to The Collective Rising’s code of conduct, you agree to use caution in all interactions with other members, particularly if you decide to communicate off the service or meet in person.

Enforcement of the Previously Mentioned Guidelines 

These guidelines were established to protect The Collective Rising’s high community moral standards. If your profile or the content you post does not abide by the aforementioned rules or if you are disrespectful to a fellow member, you may be asked to leave the community immediately without a refund. 

Disparagement Clause

You agree that you will not disparage The Collective Rising, its affiliates,  its founder, its employees or any of its members.  

For purposes of this agreement, “disparage” shall mean any negative statement, written or oral or any photographs or videos relating to The Collective Rising, its founder, its employees or any of its members which causes harm, intentionally or not, to either the reputation of the organization its founder, its affiliates, its employees or its members.

You further agree that the obligations of this paragraph shall survive termination of your membership, whether voluntary or involuntary. You further agree and acknowledge that this non-disparagement provision is a material term of this agreement, the absence of which would have resulted in The Collective Rising denying your membership.

Acceptable Use Policy 

The Collective Rising (“Platform”) is a place for users to connect, and share knowledge in an open, accepting and welcoming environment. The guidelines in this Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) help to create and preserve an open, accepting and welcoming environment for users to connect in a safe, friendly, and meaningful way.

The Collective Rising may modify this policy at any time by posting a revised version at thecollectiverising.com/usage-policy. By using or accessing the Platform, you agree to the latest version of this Policy. If you violate the Policy or authorize or help others to do so, we may suspend or terminate your use of the Platform and any content you have posted on the Platform.

No Illegal, Harmful, Hateful, or Offensive Use of Conduct

You may not use, encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to use the Platform for any illegal, harmful, fraudulent, infringing, or offensive use, or to transmit, store, display, distribute or otherwise make available content that is illegal, harmful, fraudulent, infringing, or offensive. 

Do Not Post Intimate Information 

Any information you post on The Collective Rising may be viewed and accessible to the public. Keep that in mind when choosing what to post about yourself. Members are prohibited from using The Collective Rising’s to post another person’s private or personal information.

Spam, Malware, and Phishing.

You may not distribute, publish, send, or facilitate the sending of unsolicited mass messages, promotions, advertising, or solicitations (like “spam”), including commercial advertising and informational announcements. You will not alter or obscure messages or post headers or assume a user’s identity. Additionally, you may not publish or link to malicious content intended to damage or disrupt another person’s browser or computer or compromise an individual’s privacy.

You may not search, scan, probe, test, use, or otherwise access or interfere with The Collective Rising’s community, its computer systems, or its networks, other than to access The Collective Rising’s community through the then-available, published interface provided by The Collective Rising as permitted in the platform’s Terms of Use. Additionally, you may not interfere with or disrupt the access of any user, host, or network, including, without limitation, sending a virus, overloading, flooding, or spamming The Collective Rising’s community, or by scripting the creation of content in such a manner as to interfere with or create an undue burden on The Collective Rising’s community.
