ABOUT THIS EVENT

This Lean In Circle is a community designed for women founders or planning on launching a startup or news business, and want to ask for advice, nurture each other and hold each other accountable. This is a safe space where we can share and be authentic, talk openly and support each other.

This week we want to talk about your experiences during this challenging time. We encourage you to share, ask, and encourage each other. This is an interactive session, not a webinar or workshop.

This Community started in Lisbon, but we have founders from all over the globe (Spain, Brazil, France, UK, among others) and we would love to invite you, wherever you are, to join us.

In 2018, Europe had six women entrepreneurs (tech and non-tech) for every 10 men. The disparity was even greater in tech – only 5% of Europe’s tech founders were female. Furthermore, the percentage of venture capital going to European all-female teams has declined from 2.6% in 2017 to 0.4% in 20194 and less than 8% of European investors and business angels are women.

The under-representation of women entrepreneurs is a missed opportunity, both socially and economically. The time to act is now.
