Cortney Herron is a Los Angeles-based artist with a passion for muted colors, abstract shapes, and the Black female perspective. Self-described as forever evolving and eclectic, her work naturally follows suit, working in different mediums like acrylic, watercolor, digital illustrations, and mixed media. Cortney takes pride in not overthinking the final piece, allowing for the process to remain exciting and spontaneous. Inspired by people, culture, and things that make her laugh, her work reflects the rawness of daily life in both a serious and playful way. Cortney’s end goal is for the viewer to walk away smiling with a strong sense of relatability.
