About The Company
Sapir Bachar is a jewelry designer living and working between Tel Aviv and New York.
Sapir spent her formative years in New York City working as a textile designer for Proenza Schouler and Calvin Klein. She began exploring new materials in her personal work, drawing inspiration from her levant heritage, and established her jewelry label in 2019.
Sapir creates jewelry that reflects Middle Eastern mysteriousness fused with Western minimalism. By reorganizing and abstracting artifacts from different cultures and eras, shapes, and contexts, the collection collapses the distance between familiarity and new.
While working mainly in solid sterling silver, a material used from the bible to modernism, Sapir also experiments with other materials, playing with themes of mysticism and timelessness through the use of gold, semi-precious stones, and leather. Attention to responsibly sourced materials, such as recycled sterling silver and sourced vintage stones is an integral part of Sapir’s process.
The Sapir Bachar collection is at once subtly seductive, empowering, and modern.
