Advocating for Women's Mentorship and Pay

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Women are sharing their knowledge and time to help other women on a daily basis; however, they have difficulty advocating for themselves and the right to be paid. In this workshop Founder & CEO of Margot, Joss Richard will go through the value of mentorship, why girls and women in areas of socio-economic barriers deserve free mentorship, and why business professionals shouldn’t feel bad charging for their time.

Additionally, she will share more about Margot – an inclusive online network that helps women-identifying and non-binary individuals find mentors in all industries, provide 1:1 virtual time with them, and normalize women being compensated for their knowledge. In addition to advocating for women being paid, they provide a Give Back Program; in which a percentage of our profits go towards providing mentorship to girls and women in communities with socio-economic barriers.
