ABOUT THIS EVENT

Visual art in Mexico has a long tradition as a tool for social change. Currently, Mexican feminist artivists are using social media to create spaces for their work. Their artivism focuses on empowering women, raising awareness on the violence against women, and supporting feminist movements. Lenny Massiel Cauich Maldonado interviewed five artists for this research and used feminism as a theoretical framework.
