Spotlight on the American Scene: Trailblazing Women in Entertainment

ABOUT THIS EVENT

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History celebrates Women’s History Month and its forthcoming exhibition Entertainment Nation by convening a conversation exploring how women have changed and continue to influence the landscape of the entertainment industry.

Topics will include how women have built and shaped their roles throughout the history of entertainment, how women off-screen have worked to increase representation and stories of women on-screen, what challenges remain and how women in entertainment are tackling them.
