Family — without a doubt. I truly believe I was born into the greatest family. Nurturing, compassionate, funny, extremely loving and there for each other through thick and thin. I’m blessed.
I don’t have a 5 or 10 year plan like some might. I don’t even know what it is I want to be doing in the future. My career aspirations are to find jobs that fulfill me and make me feel like I’m contributing something of value to society. The only other aspiration is to manage someone (or multiple people someday). I’ve been extremely fortunate to have had some wonderful mentors who guided me and have already helped me tremendously in my career journey, so I hope I can do the same for others.
Chase your dreams and what will make you happy, not money. Money comes second.
How I made people feel. As Maya Angelou said, “ I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Your career accolades or other things you’ve done in life have significantly less meaning if you’ve not been the best version of yourself to everyone you meet.
Being able to be of service to others. There is no greater feeling than helping someone — whether the task is as small as cooking a meal for someone in need or a much larger scale project, knowing that I’ve done something for someone else and it’s helped them is a wonderful feeling.
