I have started my own business. I made it here and I did it all by myself (with support from my loving family and friends along the way!), it’s something I can’t put into words. I started a business in the middle of a global pandemic, a business that has turned out to help so many women with their skin especially during the time of mask wearing. I am so beyond proud.
The majority of my job as a Holistic Esthetician is really being a sounding board for women who are dealing with skin issues. Our skin has such an enormous impact on our mental health and I can relate in such a personal way to anyone struggling with skin issues. Compassion is one of the things I show towards my wonderful clients everyday that I’m reached out to with skin concerns.
I took a risk by starting my own business during a global pandemic! I asked myself, “If there have been amazing business empires started during times of strife, why can’t I do it too?”
I work for myself, so I’m technically the leader of myself! I have to lead myself in decision making and let myself take breaks when necessary for the good of my business!
“Be Wise and Be Strong” - a quote that my grandma has told me since I was a little girl and I actually have it tattooed on me as well! It reminds me to be wise in life and trust my decision making and also to be strong against all odds.
My name is Astrid Makenzi! I am a Holistic Esthetician and owner of The Holistica Hive, a skin and wellness based business helping women heal and support their skin! I have dealt with skin issues my entire life, and truly have such a love and desire for helping others with their skin! I am looking to expand my network, increase business opportunities and enhance brand awareness! I am so happy to have found such a wonderful platform that is focused on bringing women together.
