I am most passionate about my family & friends; building community around creativity & food, and doing this through collaborations, workshops, dinners, events and hopefully one day our own space to bring people together.
I would love nothing more than to have a legacy built on love, faith, family & community all built through fellowship, compassion, food & deep conversation.
Love your neighbor as yourself & treat your ‘brother’ as you’d like to be treated. I believe that love & compassion can save the world if we put ego aside and truly try to understand those around us...people of all faiths, all genders, all colors & all walks of life.
I have a few goals. I have been a stay at home mom for over 16 years now, and this year I finally got back to doing some things for myself. And by doing things for myself O mean having more time to build community, get to know people and organizations in my area and then establishing one of my own. I envision the Hive Collective eventually growing into its own space with a shop that sells handmade goods of local artisans, a bakery that sells good coffee and yummy baked bites and a space to host workshops and events...bringing all the things I love together. This year has been strange with COVID, but I can see a way forward after all of this craziness, back to community building, workshops and events. I can’t wait to host people again. I have been baking every single day during COVID-19... it’s been amazing to have so much time to build my skills. I look forward to being able to share it with a broader audience some day soon!
Doing events, big and small alike, the best part is the payoff of the event coming together and people enjoying all the work that went into it all. The same goes for any baking project as well. I LOVE watching people enjoy my creations. It’s definitely the best part of it all!
I am a mother of 3 awesome kids and married to the love of my life. Originally from the Midwest, we moved to Pasadena for my husband to go to grad school at AFI and pursue a career in commercial & film directing. I coordinate events at the company that he and his two partners own here in Pasadena. As well as coordinate community events built around bringing people together through creative collaborations, workshops, socials & vendor markets. I am also a baker and have been pursuing a cottage industry license to start a small baking business out of my home making sweet bites, charcuterie spreads, custom iced cookies & special occasion cakes.
