How do you define success?

There are many different definitions one could have of success. To me, I think success is knowing your purpose and acting on that purpose. Throughout my life, I've had friends ask me for job and love advice, and unknowingly, I've built an arsenal of books, literature, and resources about these topics, while following and recommending blogs and podcasts that cover these topics. I became a go-to resource for job and love tips, and so, I started The Search Scene, a newsletter based on helping the ambitious, trendsetting woman find the work and love she wants. My purpose is to help instill in other women like myself, find what they're looking for -- and to help others in this way has been the most successful accomplishment to date. I believe in collaboration over competition, and I believe that to be successful, you need to help others be successful. Success does not involve me, but it involves us.

What are your career aspirations?

I am currently a hybrid worker -- a full-time marketing manager for CBRE, a global real estate company, and the Founder of The Search Scene newsletter that aims to inspire other women in their search for work and/or love. I'm also an adviser to a handful of early-stage startups in growth marketing. My career aspirations are really to be a serial entrepreneur and angel investor in companies, categories, and brands that I am passionate about. I want to create a media company that grows across states and continents as my first undertaking. I hope to establish trust and credibility with my audience, enough to grow extensively to dominate the space, that they will also trust me to recommend products to purchase. I am passionate about art, wellness, beauty, and style, and I would like to start another business(es) in these categories and scale them simultaneously with my media company to help inspire and empower women in these industries, to dream big and fulfill their passions.

What inspires you?

My grandmother met my grandfather through an arranged marriage. She came to the U.S. to marry him and start a family, with no choice but to choose him. Meanwhile, my grandfather's ancestors built the railroad back in the 1800s. When he was born in America and graduated from high school, he was then drafted for WWII and did not have the opportunity to go to college and build a different life for himself. Both love and wok are hard to find, and the fact that my ancestors didn't have many options, propels me to help others know and find the plethora of options that exist in this universe. It is the idea of optimizing your choices and knowing yourself, that helps you find the best job and love that you can find -- and this inspires me to share this truth with others. Technology has been a catalyst for seizing an opportunity and I want to ensure that most people know that they are not alone, and that this process can be daunting, and I want and can help make it more fun and inspiring.

What do you want your legacy to be?

My legacy will be my advice to women, and the positive and inspiring impact of my company. I'd also like to write a book that encompasses research and anecdotes, interviews, and more insights that touch upon work and love. I'd also like to be remembered for being a strategic, kind, thoughtful, and innovative leader and philanthropist. I want to optimize the workforce by pushing women forward in more C-level roles, and also move the needle with my passions of wellness, beauty, art, style to encourage women from all over the world and all different backgrounds, to innovate and also give back. I want to be known for my creativity and my compassion to helping others fulfill their dreams of finding their purpose ... in both work and love.

What makes you feel most fulfilled?

Knowing I made a difference in someone's life makes me fulfilled. Whether it is a smile, a hug, a compliment or bigger things like donating money to charity, I think that when I put myself in a position to constantly give to others, to not feel jealous but grateful, and to be positive in times of darkness, makes me fulfilled. It is the act and notion of helping others and impacting them positively that makes me fulfilled. Transforming someone's life can take a small thing or moment, but it ultimately can be something so much greater.
