How do you define success?

Success is living and thriving in my purpose. Doing the work that truly allows me to feel my passion and creativity come to life and drive the purpose in what I know I am supposed to do. I have realized over the years, the title, the money and checking off the list doesn't make you feel successful.

Tell us about a time you showed leadership at work.

A time when I showed leadership at work was recently during the BLM movement. I work with several athletes and partnerships who weren't very happy with the company's response to BLM. I reached out to our executive team, pulled together a presentation that included the situation, feedback from our athletes, and provided key next steps and solutions that the leadership team should consider. At the same time, working with my sports marketing leadership team in bringing the issue to them and making them recognize it. I didn't get much a response back, then I put time on the calendar to ensure they understood the problem and potential solutions that we needed to move forwarded with.

What do you think is your greatest strength?

My greatest strength is my connection to people. My passion and love for human connection, supporting others and thriving in community energy has been something in life since I was young. In my role for sports marketing, it's allow me to thrive in my strength in working with people, building their brands and onboarding them with a brand. Understanding their self brand, who they are and how to make that shine from a partnership view. I also get to use my strength in teaching spin classes. Supporting others in their movement and through the good/bad times.

Tell us about someone that inspires you.

A person that inspires me is my aunt. My aunt took legal custody of me when I was 5 years old and that same month, she just had her first born child. She was a small business owner who owned one of the town's favorite's floral shops. She stood up for herself when she found out her husband was cheating on her, stood on her own to get a divorce with 3 children, raising all 3 of us and still maintaining the business and finding a full time job to make sure she had health insurance. She never gave up, she didn't complain and she just kept pushing forward. She always sacrificed herself for us and ensuring we had the best life in what we wanted to do. Til this day I don't know how she did it all but she one of the most resilient humans I know. She has taught me I can get through anything that is tough and make it on the other side.
