I find that people think because I am covered in tattoos and piercings that I am the defendant/person in need of a lawyer. When I tell them I am the lawyer, they are shocked.
My ability to connect with people. You want to talk sports, makeup, current events, or the melting ice caps, I am your person.
The abuse that I see when representing children in foster care. The shooting of black people by the police. The deaths of trans people in America.
Never ask something of somebody that you would not do yourself.
