You need to restrict to lose weight. Most often women focus on tiny details and calorie counting which leads to temporary or poor results. Sleep, stress management and mindful eating are so much more impactful.
Everything is impermanent. I know to soak up the good times and that the bad ones will one day pass.
Habits! Motivation is a fickle friend and you can’t always rely on it. By having automatic habits in place you don’t need to make a new decision each day- you just do what is routine.
My wellness instruction is all about slow sustainable changes. With so many people touting quick fixes, magic teas and overnight success, it’s hard to get clients to buy into slow and steady change.
Definitely when I’m outdoors. I’m an avid skier- in backcountry and on resort. When I’m in the mountains I’m always right in the moment.
