As incredibly grateful as I am for commercial success, I still would love the experience of shooting editorial, having my first cover. Capturing notable people and being able to seamlessly hop across genres as a photographer, creative strategist, and whatever other skills I hope I'm fortunate enough to develop. I hope that I'm able ot make a creative impact, as well as an emotional one. Helping lift people along with me and making the creative space better for everyone. Abolishing the need for titles and allowing people to just do good work. Easy things.

"Stop playing by old rules in a new world" it's something I coined after graduating into the recession and realizing nearly ever avenue was shut down. I kept listening to people who never experienced something like this at the start of their career, they also didn't see the potential of the art and the internet yet. Their advice became nearly invalid, they had no idea how to navigate the world themselves, so why was I looking to them to help? 2020 brought that back for me and it's something I discuss a lot while mentoring college students or recent grads.
