I see success as preparation meeting opportunity. I’ve learned there are things I can control and others I can’t. I feel like as long as I’m taking small steps towards what I want, focusing on what I can control, and having fun along the way, I’m successful.
My family and friends. Also that I have a studio and time to make my work.
Plethora There are many ways of seeing and experiencing the world. Small shifts in perspective can change everything.
Exercise, Meditation and Reading. I either run or work out at the gym 5-6 days/week. It’s a great stress reliever and helps me sleep better. Meditation has saved me more than once. It helps me let go of the things I cannot control. I read everyday. It brings me joy and gives me ideas to explore in my work.
When I’m painting I’m very present. Interesting and surprising things happen and I respond in often a very intuitive way. It becomes a dance. A dance that can not be repeated but enjoyed and savored in the moment.
