Helping others make positive lasting change. Not the trendy crash course/crash diet/quick-fix challenge kind of change but truly leveling up their lifestyle by understanding their own body better.
Health is measured by physical fitness. Our culture has such an unhealthy relationship with physical appearance and acceptance. You cannot measure overall health by BMI and numbers on a scale. They can be indicators but are arguably lower on the list than many others. Mental health, social emotional health, cellular health, hormonal health, systemic health, environmental health all come into play on very significant levels. If we can outgrow our obsession with what’s aesthetically pleasing and really grow to a place of normalizing the conversation of the health of our ecosystems we will be so much better for it.
Movement and breathwork. There is incredible power in utilizing our bodies. Movement generates happy hormones which supports not only mental and emotional health but also gut health. Breathwork reduces stress hormones which allows internal balance to create better and more lasting results from movement. Both of these things also provide amazing benefits to systemic health and promoting overall health and longevity starting at a cellular level. Our bodies are incredibly smart and once we learn to use them as a tool to our overall benefit we can make really stunning changes to how we navigate our trajectory.
Helping women and people with uteruses feel better in their bodies, have stronger autonomy, and just overall have a deeper understanding of their individual needs. I do not believe that we can truly support or advocate ourselves without these things and I believe that everyone has the right to self love and self advocacy!
Gardening! I would really love to be able to grow more of my own food for not only optimizing the health of my family but reducing my carbon footprint. My goal is to be able to create sustainable harvests where I can control the health of the soil and grow bioavailable phytonutrients without the damaging chemicals that are used to preserve them on a commercial level, or the amount of plastic and water waste that it takes to process them for consumer use. This all goes back to that healthy gut-healthy mind-healthy life connection. :)
