My definition of success most likely doesn't look like most others'. Yes, growing in your career and making good money are successes that should be celebrated, but I do not feel that that totally defines success. Success to me looks like happiness. It is finding your inner light and valuing your self worth. It's experiencing your dreams. Success to me is happiness.
I do not think that you need to work yourself into the ground in order to make progress. There is no need to "burn the midnight oil" so to speak. Finding a work/life balance is incredibly important. You're going to make so much more progress is you are in a good headspace while you're working.
I'm surrounded by other creatives! Being in a creative industry teaches me so much, and I learn new things constantly. I can draw inspiration from others and have so many idols to look up to!
I want to learn to be more present. I spend a lot of time looking for what's next and not enough time seeing all the good that is currently happening in my life.
As a creative, you are very vulnerable. You pour yourself into your work, and you send it into the world hoping for a positive response. There is no better feeling than seeing something you have worked hard on reach or touch or inspire someone. That's why we do it!
