My grandfather inspires me. He was born from immigrant parents who came to America with nothing. He worked in many different industries but one thing remained constant - he worked hard. He never let his age or "resume" stop him from pursuing any business venture and he ultimately found success by being a person who people wanted to work with. But his business success is not what inspires me about him - it's his unwavering love for his family. He is always there to help his family and will do anything for them.
I am most grateful for my family. I know that I wouldn't be the person I am without them. They have supported me not only financially - but they have supported any path I've wanted to pursue, no matter how difficult they knew it would be. When I wanted to move across the Country to pursue acting in Atlanta, I received nothing but support from my family, and I am so grateful for all of them.
I film video legacies of people, and the best part about it is how it effects other people. I see people come to life when they talk about their past, I see them fall in love again, and I see them realize their importance. Selfishly I get to hear incredible stories and learn incredible lessons from my elders, but my favorite part is seeing the impact it has on my clients and their families.
I recently started my own business, and I am very proud of myself for doing it. I realized that I wasn't passionate about what I was doing, and I truly searched within myself to discover what I wanted to do instead. I could have easily continued doing what I was doing before - but I decided I wanted to love my career and find importance in it. I put aside everything I had worked toward and started over and I'm so glad that I did.
