To me, success means I’m doing what I love every day, and helping others along the way.
A professional goal of mine this year was to vamp up my freelancing projects. Happy to report I made my goal at the end of last month, with 3 ongoing clients booked!
Creating something magnetic out of nothing.
After the death of George Floyd, me and a few POC colleagues along with white allies at work came together to present the many issues in this industry and demanded change within our agency. Now I am working closely with senior leadership to help make change happen and create a more diverse and inclusive work environment.
I have so many, but this week’s fave is by Salvador Dali. “Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it.” — I love the meaning behind these words, because being a perfectionist myself, it helps me realize that perfection will always be unattainable. I find solace in knowing that there’s no such thing as “perfect”, so be you, as you are, and learn to embrace your imperfections.
