My best advice to the next generation is to listen to yourself and to know your worth. People are always going to talk and they may forge opinions about you, but only you know who you are and what you're capable of. There is no doubt social media will have an immense place in the next generation's growth and cyberbullying will keep increasing. Therefore, if the next generation can grow with the idea that they know who they are and what they're capable of, other people's remark will less likely affect them and they'll be able to create amazing things.
Seeing smart women succeeding in male-dominated industries inspires me a lot. It motivates me to become more like them and to not be afraid to speak my mind. Seeing those women succeed makes me believe I can do the same. I also get inspired by beautiful, well decorated spaces! I have recently realized that the environment I work in has a huge impact on my state of mind. I noticed I was more inspired, productive and creative in places I found visually pleasing.
My secret to staying motivated is living a balanced life. I find myself the most motivated when I make time for workouts, seeing friends, networking, eating healthy meals, getting enough sleep, etc in addition to working. When I feel my best physically and mentally, I feel motivated and ready to take on any obstacles that may come my way.
The best part about working in the tech industry is the fact that you have an impact on people's everyday lives! The world uses tons of technologies on a daily basis and being able to have a say in the way those products/services/etc are designed and implemented is truly amazing. Since almost everything we use everyday has some kind of technology in it, another great part of working in the tech industry is being able to understand how the things that surrounds me work.
