If I could start over, I would want to follow more on what my heart desires and where my soul craves. I would careless about what people think and bet on myself whether it be for career, health, relationship, spiritual or finance. I would hone in the grit within me and live life gracefully knowing that I’m worthy and deserving of the life I desire.
I used to work in a corporate job that I dislike and wasn’t happy to be in. Although, I was able to be comfortable with the salary I earned, I was both emotionally and physically fatigue every so often. When the pandemic hit in March 2020, the workload were piled up even more on me in order for the company to maintain its revenue. After a much prolonged contemplation, I have decided to quit my job in the midst of pandemic that October. I received a lot of disagreements, misunderstandings and judgements, but I knew that it was the right choice for me. Until now, I don’t regret my decision of taking the leap to search for what fuels me.
I’m most passionate about learning, whether it is through books, conversations, podcasts, mentors, courses, events, etc. I believe that there is always a new layer of growth to discover in every phases of our lives.
I’m grateful for my courage and curiosity. These have led me to discover and learn about new things.
Since switching from working in a corporate world to making it as a freelancer and aspiring business builder, I find that I have a lot to learn when it comes to brand building/strategising as well as keeping up with trends. I hope that I could find the resources that not only suite me but could guide me through the path of reaching my goals.
I’m Maya. I live in Kuala Lumpur but would love to live in other big cities like New York, Los Angeles or Tokyo someday. I had experience working in customer service and corporate sales and currently pursuing a career in writing/editing while taking a course in integrative nutrition. I have a passion in health and wellness, and my favourite self-care activities at the moment are grounding and meditation.
