Do what makes you happy. In a world that pushes you to conform and blend in with everyone else, it's important to stay original and true to ourselves. We are our own biggest project and with knowing that, we can continue to focus on living a life that is fulfilled and contributes to uplift and inspire others.
My versatility. Due to moving to a different country with my family at a young age, I learned how to deal with change and understand differences in people as individuals and as a culture. I learned to easily appreciate and respect new perspectives without judgement or question. Because of this, I find myself a very open-minded person that is able to quickly pivot, understand and change when needed.
The quote "Fake it 'til you make it" makes me cringe. I believe that you don't need to fake anything to get to a place where you want to be. Transparency, authenticity and honestly are valuable things and if "faking" something is what you need to do in order to achieve some sort of success, it sounds terrible and opportunistic.
I recently obtained my Yoga Teacher Training Certificate in COVID-19. Despite the crazy circumstances that we are all experiencing, I am proud to have found a silver lining accomplishment that checks off something I've had on my bucket list since 2013. Even if I never teach an actual class, I would do it all over again just to gain the knowledge of anatomy, spirituality and history that I've learned.
Working in the beauty industry has given me the opportunity to work with and for all kinds of amazing women. There are so many that have incredible inspiring stories to tell and experiences that we need to bring more into light. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to have access to a community that is both timeless and exclusive but also complex and continuously inclusive and progressive.
