Tell us about someone that inspires you.

Danielle Bernstein founder of We Wore What is my daily inspiration. I started following her when she launched her swim line with Onia and since then she has created a tech start up called MOE assist to make the backend of blogging easier for influencers, her charity WeGaveWhat in response to her philanthropic aspirations, a collection at Macy’s that is shape-inclusive and most recently she started a collected for black creatives. Her empire has grown so much in the last 3 months it is amazing to see how far her reach has gone and how she has branched off into so many different areas outside of fashion. I truly admire her because she does not let one thing define her, she had many different goals across the fashions and tech industries and found a way to make them happen.

What are three traits you are proud to possess?

I am confident, I adapt easily, and I have a knack for learning languages.

What is a career goal of yours?

Recently I say that Emma Watson was appointed to Kering’s Sustainability board. One day I would like to hold the same position. The pandemic has shown us that the future of fashion relies on sustainable sourcing and practices and I want to be a voice that’s part of the conversation about how to keep the fashion industry alive while also saving the planet.

What are your three best habits?

I journal every night and record my dreams, worries and everything in between. I have a skincare ritual that I follow everyday. I read a new book every two weeks.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

The best piece of advice I ever received was to be selfish about my time. This means that I should worry about myself and my growth instead of worrying about what everyone else is doing. In college I spent a lot of time measuring my success to other people’s until I realized that everyone’s journey looks different and I should focus on investing in myself. I learned that I could grow to become the best version of myself without neglecting my duties to my community. In doing so, I found that when I took the time to figure out what made me feel good I was more refreshed to help and serve others.
