My mentor and Godsend. She is the CEO + Founder of a non-profit organization, an entrepreneur of over 20+ years and a true champion for humanity, empathy, and the womanist leadership movement. Her mission and the impact she has on providing individuals opportunities they otherwise would never have due to lack of resources in their communities is more than just developing technologists and leaders, she's providing them a safe space to rebirth and have an internal transformation that then empowers them to enter the workforce on their own terms. She continues to enforce ownership of self-identity and has transformed so many lives. That is exactly what I envision for myself and I am in constant awe of how she balances resilience, empathy and strength. She has devoted her life to shift the power of self onto the person versus giving power away to someone else. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have taken the chance to leave corporate and build my own thriving business - supporting mission/purpose driven women.
I am most passionate about supporting purpose driven women create an identity for themselves than the ones given to them and created for them by society, family and communities. The bias that prevents women from believing they have everything within them to be incredible leaders and use their platform of leadership to help others rise. I am incredibly passionate about empathy as an approach to how we perceive the world, interact within it and build relationships. I believe empathy is the core foundation to successful leadership and the more a woman allows herself to tap into her innate strengths, she will build respect as a leader from those around her. I am incredibly passionate about deconstructing social bias and social conditioning on women so they continue to help each other rise. I am passionate about supporting and shifting negative limiting beliefs so women are empowered and ditch the need to receive external validation. I am most passionate about the power of language and how its used to create identity, behavior and how it impacts the mindset necessary to develop and succeed as a female leader with a thriving team and purpose driven business.
If I can spread empathy as an approach to how we see each other, solve problems, communicate, refocus our agenda and values on what actually matters- humanity, then I would be the happiest person. I want my legacy to be as the woman who evoked empathy within others, who helped them first build compassion for self, nourish their own selves, release negative thinking and embrace an abundance mindset. How with every product, service, offers, she designed and built in this world, empathy was at the core of it's mission and intention. Supporting women as a leadership mindset coach, the intention is to help women leaders know when to and how to tap into their empathy without sacrificing themselves. Using technology to develop tools for mental health and better train therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists re: how they treat their patients, work with families and deepen empathy at the core of their why. I want my legacy to be- that through seeing empathy as an approach to how we interact with each other, we were able to eradicate percentage of stigma around mental health and empower women building purpose driven/mission driven companies.
I am a Leadership + Mindset Coach for highly driven empathic women leaders who often struggle with imposter syndrome, perfectionism and and releasing negative thinking. I support women who are motivated by purpose and are driven to make an impact in their communities and the world. Through my experience as a former clinical therapist, global leadership consultant, and research in my Phd, leading with empathy + psychological safety (trust) to build accountable workplaces, I have designed my 3 Pillars of Leadership framework: Compassion for self, empathy for others and accountability for both... I want women to know I am here to empower them as they continue to build thriving careers and businesses with confidence.
I am a 3rd culture kid, I am South Asian by decent, grew up in the Middle East (Egypt, Dubai, Iraq) then moved to the states when I was 9 years old. I did 2nd grade in Queens, NY- Tampa, FL- Edison, NJ. 3rd grade in Melb, Australia and finally settled in California. I grew up in 4 continents, moved a total of 30+ times and have traveled to every continent but Antartica. I was a dancer growing up and have every intention of becoming a professional choreographer until I realized a deeper love for psychology and leadership. I still continue to dance but as a passion project. I am also a huge believer in manifestation (my birthday is 1-11, which is a powerful manifestation number!) I am a reiki practitioner and believe that our minds our powerful enough to connect with energy and heal any internal illnesses by addressing the stuck emotions. I have hypothyroid and use reiki, meditation and compassion as tools to heal my chronic illness.
