I define success as growth. In particular, I view success as being able to grow out of your personal comfort zone, grow in your knowledge and contribution. Success does not always mean becoming rich or gaining recognition. To me, if you are growing as a person, trying something new, and giving it everything you have, it is a success.
I went to school for Fashion Design and Merchandising but shifted my focus to Corporate Social Responsibility, an industry I love and have worked in for the past five years. My goal over the past year is to combine my passions for fashion and Corporate Social Responsibility to empower women to confidently reach their full potential. While this goal is a large undertaking, I am incredibly passionate about this work and have made great strides to launch Suite Stitch, my ethical apparel brand for women. As I continue sourcing and developing my product for pre-sale, I am also growing my community of go-getters and world changers.
A rule I try to live by is Happiness is attitude and gratitude.
I am a huge believer in leaning into your strengths to create impact. The three traits that I am most proud to possess are futuristic, determination, and interpersonal. For futuristic, I enjoy thinking of the future state, what could be. Having a vision motivates me and allows me to take my creativity and turn it into a reality. Determination is what has got me from an idea to the final concept. Once I have something in mind, I am determined to see it through. I am proud to be interpersonal and connect with people. It has allowed me to network, build connections, and learn so much from others. Collaboration is key and something I enjoy and am proud to do.
There are so many aspects that I love about the sustainable fashion industry. The best part is being able to use creativity to empower and transform lives. I love designing for the modern career woman who wants to take on the world while providing a positive impact. Fashion is a great channel to do just that as fashion and style can enhance and bring out our most authentic and confident selves.
