Leaving a secure full-time job and jumping right into starting my design firm without a ton of savings! I took on a lot of risk but had a gut feeling that everything would turn out okay, and it did. If I stayed in my comfort zone I would have never pursued my dream of being my own boss. The reward outweighed the risk.
Empathy, it’s my job to put myself in my client’s shoes and try to relate to them so I can provide the best designs that truly reflect who they are. Creativity, I value adding beauty to everything I do. Resilience, I’m able to bounce back after a setback and see the lesson and blessing from it.

Becoming a mom! It’s a whole different ball game when a little person takes over your life (and office). The transition of figuring out how much I can truly take on while taking care of someone else has been rough. I’ve had moments of burnout with saying yes to too many jobs. It’s been hard to see my goals and dreams with my business take a back seat but I constantly remind myself it’s just for a season.
Sharing my knowledge of business and design to see others succeed as well as watching my daughter grow and excel at new skills!
