To me, success is defined by not giving up. When we look at success in many forms it often takes time and extremely hard work. The keeping the big picture in mind while taking steps one day at a time, that is success. One of the many things we don't talk about with success is the 'failures' that come along the way. So, like I said, not giving up and pushing on... that is success.
"Fake it until you make it." Truly not sure if I can cuss here, but that is bullshit. You might not know everything when you start, you might not know everything while you are in it, but the truth is when you are working hard - you aren't faking it... you are doing it. Work your ass off and do the damn thing. It isn't going to be easy, nothing ever worth doing is 'easy'. I do believe that. The truth is your dreams have been placed on your heart and they are there for you. Your dreams are unique to you. So don't fake it until you make it, do it.
Knowing that I am making a difference. It isn't everyday but it happens. When people reach out, male & female, and say I am so proud of you and you are doing great things. Yes, words of affirmation are beyond the driving factor in my life. Also, keeping in mind the bigger goal and mission at all times. It's empowering and it gets me out of bed in the morning, well that and coffee... :)
I love meeting and learning about different women every single day. I love hearing their stories. I love talking with them. I love hearing about their hearts, strengths, hardships, and dreams. Learning about other people's souls (in particular women) is such a beautiful thing. We are wired in a way with such big hearts and I have found that regardless of your career we are all so similar in our feelings towards what we love.
